Properties: Relaxing, soothing, calming. Great for many skin conditions, digestive problems and stress. Often used in skincare products from infants to adults for both its mild properties and therapeutic effectiveness. Although Roman Chamomile seems to have proven itself more effective for therapies involving the body, German Chamomile has the edge for skincare.
Possible Uses: Blend a small amount with any emulsifier (product used to allow oil to blend with water) and add to bath water for a relaxing yet rejuvenating soak. Add small amount to carrier oil or lotion and apply as an excellent skin care product. May also be used for children and infants in a much more diluted state.
Great with: Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Frankincense, Geranium, Lavender, Neroli, Rose, Rosewood, Ylang Ylang and others.
History & Facts: Europeans have used Chamomiles for centuries for medicinal purposes (especially skin care). The higher "Azulene" content of the Blue oil makes it better suited for this purpose.
