History & Facts: Grown primarily in Brazil, Rosewood is prized for its use in expensive furniture, art and oil. While the harvesting of these trees is just a drop in the bucket compared to the destruction of the Brazilian Rain Forest, the government there thankfully requires that each Rosewood tree that is harvested be replaced by a new planting.
